The four songs on Bayonet have a bit more of a rock rumble to them than their immediate predecessors, mainly since Jeff Martin filled out Idaho's roster with a fuller band sometime after This Way Out — the opening "The Worm" strikes a few rock poses which don't necessarily suit the project, and it's songs like "Sliding Past" and the languid "Losing Light" that return Bayonet to the tones of Idaho's better work.
