Hard Report

Another EP we’ve been jamming to here at the HardHouse is The Palms, by Idaho on Caroline. Also from LA., this band is the duo of Jeff Martin and John Berry, who play all the instruments on the record. Martin’s phlegmatic vocals blend in nicely with the “noise” provided by Berry, and result in a mesmerizing, contorted amalgamation of sounds. Pensive and moody, the EP gives insight into a pessimist’s Utopia. Look for the full length in September.
