“Year After Year”
Idaho doesn’t rock, they play the hazy music of dreams like no one other
than David Sylvian. It’s just two guys (Jeff Martin
and John Berry) playing bass, guitar and drums. The music is haunting, and passionate;
it’s music for a dimly lit room. Each track is thick with misunderstanding and climbs
through acres of jello-ed rhythms, winding up and
winding down. It’s thought provoking at its best, laying track over track until
you’re in a misty musical haze, with seemingly no way out. Recommended.
