how can i take any more of this winding back along yesterday's stuff just when i think i've got you figured out you take away my dream and there is only sleep i guess it's alright not to feel you always because if i did there would be no reason after opening in swelling, looping ambience, yesterday's unwinding breaks into a guitar-driven song and later breaks into a section featuring a spoken part by melissa auf der maur. although her voice is hardly heard throughout the rest of the song, of all the songs on alas it feels most prominent.
